For the sixth time now, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is publishing its guide to such degree courses. This guide provides prospective students with some initial information and is intended to encourage and help them to acquire any further information they may need. The material is based on a survey carried out at German universities and Fachhochschulen (*) by the Conference of University Rectors (HRK). It does not purport to be a comprehensive representation, since new postgraduate courses are constantly being added to those already offered at Germany's institutions of higher education. Further updated editions to this study guide are planned.
